Forty-eight: Family Pressure

The next morning saw Ryan at his parent's home, walking through the door into the living room to see his mom there, with a warm smile on her face. But it did nothing to ease the ball of dread and anxiety that had settled deep in the pit of his stomach from the moment he received his father's call the previous night.

Clifford Davidson rarely called him for anything other than to know the progress of the family business. For him to call him for breakfast at home, meant he had something serious to discuss, and Ryan sure as hell knew it had to deal with his unmarried state.

Truly, he wasn’t impressed by his parent's involvement in his personal life but all thanks to the family he came from, there was nothing like privacy. From a very young age, one's life was discussed and tabled publicly for the entire extended family to have an opinion and that would soon be the case for him if he’s unable to do the right thing and take off the pressure from his parents.

This book is good I love reading it but these characters are weak when it comes to standing up for themselves. Can't wait to see what happens when Amelia meets her real father and that Lara is her half sister
