Reagan’s POV
Reviewing the pictures Xander sent to Caspian. We discussed each picture in depth. It was evident that an animal killed Richard. Considering what he was investigating, I wondered if he was getting too close to discovering the truth or if he was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
We must have been looking at the screen for well over an hour when I got up, needing a break from the screen. That was when I saw how stressed Caspian looked. The frown line across his brow told me how burdened he was. “Are you okay?” I asked full well, knowing that he wasn’t. He looked at me and shook his head, tears filling his eyes.
“It’s all going to shit. Reagan. I don’t know how to process what is going on. Everything was on track with Sam, and now Evelyn does this to me. ” He told me honestly.
