All I could hear was my heart, thudding against my chest as I tried to stay hidden behind a tree. Had I not followed my own mind and went out to see the pack, I wouldn't have gotten caught up in this mess.
The man had shifted into a wolf right before my eyes and started to chase me, at first I stood there in shock before I really understood what was happening.
Everyone seemed to mind their own business when he started to chase after me, how selfless of them. It's like they didn't even care that I could die if he catches up to me.
