Astrid’s POV
I woke up to a sharp ache throbbing my head and a burning sensation in my wrists. The burning feeling extended to my ankles, making them seem engulfed in flames. Despite the blindfold restricting my vision, I could glimpse my surroundings occasionally, as it wasn’t too tight and didn’t cause discomfort.
As I gradually opened my eyes behind the blindfold, I struggled to reorient myself. The room spun around me as I gingerly felt the soft injury on my head.
Confusion and disorientation washed over me as I tried to piece together what had happened. Gradually, my memory started to return, and I realized I had been struck on the head. I felt a wave of nausea wash over me, and my vision blurred.
The room swayed while trying to sit up, and my back felt weak and uncooperative. The blow to my head had left me in disarray, struggling to find equilibrium. With great effort, I managed to call out for assistance, hoping that someone would come to help me.
