Harris laughed softly and brushed her hair again before saying. “Yes I’m here. Did you miss me?” He asked her.
Hearing this, Rachel looked away shyly, biting her bottom lip. “I…. I thought I was dreaming,” she admitted softly with a stammering voice.
Harris leaned in again, this time wrapping his arms around her and pulling her gently into a warm hug.
“Well, if it was a dream,” he whispered into her ear and continued , “then I guess I’m lucky to be living in it with you.”
Rachel smiled against his chest, feeling the warmth of his embrace as she listened to his heartbeat, which was calm and soothing for her like a lullaby she would love to listen to over and over again.
“I missed you too,” she whispered back.
Harris grinned and lay down well on the bed with Rachel still in his embrace.
He ran his fingers slowly through her hair and asked quietly, “How are you, babe? Are you feeling okay now?”
Rachel knew he was asking her about the incident that happened in the morning, so she just ga
