A FEW MINUTES EARLIER.
The silenced screamed in my ears, fear clawing through my chest. The daunting feeling felt like a noose around my neck, squeezing with each breath that I took.
My fingers trembled as I paced around the room, my wolf ansgty from the unknown.
“You are going to tear through the ground at the rate that you are going,” Anita said, placing her hand on her stomach as she stared at me with worry in her eyes.
“I can’t help the feeling, something…” I paused, my words trapped in my throat as I watched my children storm into the room.
“Can we play outside?” Aiden asked, looking exceptionally excited.
I stared at them, “The sun is almost setting, you know how…”
“I will watch them, mommy,” Ace said, moving forward as the leader of the group.
I smiled softly at him, of course he would, he always found a way to always, make himself the leader.
“Fine, just for fifteen minutes and after that, you will shower and prepare for bed,” I said in a stern voice.
