Josie's POV (Continued)
The ceiling was white and clear, but there was no light source in sight. Actually, the ceiling was a reflection of the room as a whole. Sterile in every sense of the word.
“Jo?” I turned my head and found Char and Ru staring at me with worried expressions.
I blinked back at them and returned to my inspection of the cell like room we were in. It wasn’t interesting per se, but it was so bland and white and it reminded me of those one way cells I’ve seen in spy movies. At any rate, the lack of color was a soothing balm on my rioting nerves.
“.…Doc? What’s wrong with her?” I heard Char ask from above my head, but I couldn’t find the strength to turn my head, not even when soft but gloved fingers inspected my shoulder.
“While you’re answering that, can you explain where the fuck this is?” Ru asked bitingly.
