Suzzie's POV
I stepped forward, faking tears to slip out from my eyes. Whilst in the depths of my head, it was singing another tune of doom.
Why was Alfred Caine here?
What did his presence truly mean?
"Brother?" I called out, when I saw him sitting on one of the armchairs.
Alfred Caine stood up, fawning down at me. "Look who's finally here, do you know how long I'd been waiting?"
With arms outstretched, I rushed in to embrace him. I did miss him, but then his presence reminded me of an unfinished task.
Behind us, Tyler's eyes were fixated on us while Harlan went about his business.
"I went home hoping I would find you after my tour. But grand mama told me of your travels down here." Alfred stepped back, brushing the strands off my face.
