How couldn't I have been more thoughtful? How could I have been so reckless and pushed on with the proceeds of the rituals! Despite Aloha's reports that Alessia's chances of survival considering the pregnancy had become lesser, I failed to think beyond my foolish resentment for her commitment to Thompson and blindly pushed on.
