As I ran, I could feel their feet following close behind. I knew then that they were catching up on me and wondered what I would do.
All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my body and screamed in anguish but suddenly still, I felt free and stronger and ran faster. I had run for a while when it occurred to me that I could no longer hear their footsteps. I, at first thought they may have taken a different direction and would be waiting for me ahead. I felt tired and smelt a stream close by. I ran in the direction with the intention to filling myself up with water. I hadn't drunk any water after stopping my meal half way, thinking I would resume it when the disturbance was resolved, and the run had dried my throat even more.
