Romano had lied when he said 6-7 hours, after ordering takeouts for dinner last night, we had gone down another round, or two before I drifted off to sleep. I woke up and found a note close to my bed with breakfast, telling me he had to see a friend urgently and that he'd be back later at noon.
My heart fluttered at the tiny gesture, usually he'd leave without saying a word. But I couldn't deny the fact that we had both unlocked something new, something magical even though we were going to keep ignoring it for a while.
