From all indications, I was certain that Sophia was going to die but seeing as she was looking hale and hearty, something inside me pricked me with guilt, hatred, and anger.
Why was she looking as beautiful as ever?
"Where are you taking her?", I tried to stop Brandon but one glared at me and I knew my place immediately.
I stepped aside as I watched him bundle her in his arms. Her baby bump looked beautiful and the way she was carrying the pregnancy almost made me feel terrible again.
He began walking when I stopped him. "Tell me the truth", I started. "Is she your mate?".
