Katrina’s point of view
“What do you mean everyone in the Snow Pack is dead?” Joshua asked in disbelief, looking like he was going to rush up and rip Bianca’s throat out in the next second.
“Your family is dead?’ Captain Theo also asked me, tears filling my eyes. A lump formed in my throat and all I could do was just nod my head.
“Katrina, why did you come here? Do you want your father’s old friend to stand up for you?” Xavier asked me coldly, pulling Bianca behind him as she smirked.
Was this the man who I married and left everything for?
Lucius walked over to me and asked me with concern, “What happened?”
His eyes roamed all over my face, his hand on my shoulder. I stifle a sob as I look at Xavier, the words about how he never loved me still linger on my mind. I can’t believe this is the man I had risked everything for.
