The universe seriously hates me. Things went wrong with Missy and Sheila, and then I ran into Xenia. Xenia even invited me back to her place. More than once, my vision was blurry between the bar and her apartment door, and I felt unbalanced. I’m damn lucky I didn’t drop her when we were making out in the elevator. I don’t know what was happening to make me feel like this. I know I’m not drunk. I’m pushing thirty. Trust me. I’ve drunk enough to know how much of what gets me there.
