Linda’s p.o.v
When I first opened my eyes, I tried remembering what had happened and why I was feeling this intense pain in my head. My eyes darted around the room and fell on Ruby who was with a syringe. Fear gripped me and all I could do was cry, I couldn’t move any part of my body as I felt very weak.
I had tried mind-linking Bruno but I was too weak for it to pull through. I tried to plead with her with my eyes as my tears flowed seamlessly but instead, she laughed manically.
I pleaded frantically with the moon goddess to send someone to rescue me. As if she heard my cry for help.
She sent Bruno.
Relief flooded through me as my eyes landed on him but I couldn’t help the fear that gnawed inside of me at the thought of what Ruby had almost done to me.
As I lay cuddled up against Bruno’s chest I couldn’t help but wonder if he had forgiven me now. The look in his eyes and his words filled me with hope that we could work everything out.
