I was burned under my skin as I clutched my bag, my fingers digging into the strap.
I couldn't believe Kate would do this to me, she knew how important this was to me and she could easily try to sabotage it because of a man she met.
I didn't care how handsome he was. This was preposterous and insane, still not the craziest thing I found out in the last 24hrs.
I couldn’t storm back to the apartment and give her a piece of my mind, I wasn’t stupid. If I confronted her, who knew what she’d do? The memory of her claws digging into my throat sent a chill down my spine. No, I wasn't going to risk my life.
I let out a sigh, my grip loosening. “Daniel you gotta help me out here, I've worked my butt off, taken no leave, I've done everything by the book, you can't let them take me off the job” I pleaded desperately.
