I had no idea how long it had been since I was in there, and I was brought out of my swaying thoughts when I heard the door open.
The mirrored walls had been my only companions, they were silent, shifting and cruel. They showed me endless visions of Kaiden falling, Kaiden forgetting and even Kaiden’s dead body. I towed to remind myself each time they weren’t real and I tried to hold tight to my memories of him. His touch. His voice and even his smell.
