I should have known better.

I should have known that Charles’ castle was full of different traps and that each corner was dangerous for someone that was as curious as me and I a h shadow was ready to swallow me. But I couldn’t help myself.

The prisoner that was under the castle, the one that knew my name and spoke of Charles’ true nature, held the answers that I needed. And those answers might be the key to stopping whatever nightmare it was that I was in.

But I didn’t make it far and I didn’t even get to fully hear what the prisoner had to say.

The moment he wanted to reply to me, I felt the shift in the air and the cold, oppressive weight that was pressing down on me. Before I could ask more questions, before I could run, the guards were already holding me tightly.

I fought them, the goddess knew I tried to fight against them by clawing at their armor, kicking, biting and even screaming. But I was no match for them.
