As expected the news of my suspension had spread like wildfire in autumn. Bad news as this, blew without catalyst, and it was so pathetic.
What made it worse was that I was the newest member of the board of directors, after Jasmine’s fall from grace, which meant literally all of the workers here knew me. I was tagged 'Dr. Ross's replacement.’
After the last-minute revelation from Kylie, I was prompted to go the extra mile and get Jasmine over. I needed the CCTV footage to absolutely convince her. Knowing Jasmine, she wasn't one to believe mere words over evidence, especially since the one giving her such an update was her arch-enemy.
“Jeez.” I giggled. Jasmine was just a handful lately, and I loved the emotional fight she always put up, even though I wished it was easier to woo her over. With her acting like a Wonder Woman, it only gave me the opportunity to be with her one more day.
