Oh, no! No, no, no!
Asher stopped on the spot, and I froze momentarily. He looked from his arm to my hand and up to my face, confused as to what was going on. Matter of fact, I was weird, from level zero straight to a hundred in a split second.
My hand slipped down his arm and fell right beside me. That was a wrong move, a freaking wrong move and I knew it, but what could be done when the bean was already spilled? And especially for one like Asher who would drill you until he got the response he wanted, it was obvious I had messed up.
"Think... Freaking think!" I groaned in my head. It was a shame that every second of my life, I needed a lie to keep moving, and that was because I always messed up... Or I wasn't just the smart one.
