She was firm in her words and I loved that. I had not realized how much I had actually missed talking to her till I finally started talking to her. Everything looked like it was going to work out just fine, her mere presence in my life gave me that assurance somehow.
"Ms Carter, this should be part of the things we discuss. If someone from my department is making you uncomfortable, then I should know about it so I can quickly get rid of them. After all, you are a rare gem that I do not want to lose for any reason."
