Shawn’s Pov
“Are you sure you wanna do this?” I was almost exiting my office when Kelvin’s voice stopped me.
With a hand in my pocket, I turned around to face him. “Do I have any other choice?”
“You’ve never given a damn about anyone so it’s okay if you let this slide. The lawyers are on the case already and with the apology Stella is going to give, people will find out about your innocence. Look at you, you look like shit and yet you wanna go face the media?”
I heaved a deep sigh, tucking my other hand into my pocket.
“You and Cassie had a hard time after we ended the call?” Kev asked, the concern not going unnoticed in his eyes and voice.
I shrugged. “We didn’t talk much. She went to bed. But I could tell that she wasn’t happy. I mean, it’s been back-to-back attacks. I could feel that she had so much to say but her words were going to upset me so she kept quiet.”
