The faces of everyone after the wedding ceremony were filled with a mix of emotions, including joy, contentment, and a hint of nostalgia. Smiles, tears of happiness, and expressions of relief were observed as they congratulated us. This was followed by a photo session and the giving of wedding gifts.
"Congratulations dude!" Alex approached me and gave me a high-five. He smiled as he opened his arms for a hug.
Dad followed him and did the same, "Congratulations son, I am happy for you."
I just showed a brittle smile as I put my arms around Dad's shoulder.
"Thank you for doing this favor, Magnus. I understand your strong aversion to this marriage but you know that we are all bound by what is stated in the Wolf Code," Dad spoke seriously.
"It's fine, Dad. This is the Will of the Moon Goddess. However—" I paused and cleared my throat. "I can only be a good leader like you, but I couldn't promise that I would be a good husband to Lara."
"Just give it a try, dude," Alex butted in.
