Exclusively His

Noah is the perfect student by day; timid, obedient, and invisible at Valemont Academy. By night, he is the star of Black Halo, performing for the city’s exclusive elites. Every move is a temptation and every bill hooked to his strap is a survival strategy. Professor Elliott built his reputation on control, discipline, and intellect. A very handsome man with many admirers but none has been able to rouse a desire in him, none but Noah. It all started the night he saw Noah in the club for the first time. The man who commands his environment finds himself unsteady. Desire, obsession, and secrecy collide in a dangerous game neither of them expected. Elliott offers a deal of protection and tuition covered in exchange for exclusivity. Noah is desperate and Elliott is unyielding. In a dangerous game of power, obsession and survival, both must decide how much they are willing to give and how far they will go for what they truly want.

Chapter: Chapter One - The Dance That Started it All
“One, Two, Three.” Noah murmured under his breath before taking a leap. His slender body rose into a familiar arc, muscle and memory working together without thought. One hand held on tightly to the pole and the other stretched out in the air, as if defying gravity. The music in the club blared. The lights were low, and the crowd half-hidden in shadows, cheered in excitement. Not only was he a master of his craft, it was moments like this he lived for. Moments where the noise in his head quietened. Moments where he felt confident. Desired. In control. The air rushed past his ears, a soothing humming drowning out the room until his rotation brought the crowd back into clear focus again. Then, the rhythm broke.Staring into the crowd, Noah’s jaw dropped. His face, white as a ghost. His hand slipped off the pole but with a little luck he regained balance. There, in the front row under the dim golden glow, a perfect posture with hands folded loosely. No drink was in front of him and

Chapter: Chapter Two - Morally Right or Wrong
Elliott did not leave immediately. This was his first time in Black Halo. He had wandered in out of sheer curiosity but stayed not because he enjoyed clubs but because there was just something about Noah that glued him to his seat. He remained seated after Noah’s performance, even after the applause faded. There was something about Noah Ola. Something buried deep within the perfect smiles and flawless steps. Something that he was scared of letting the world see. This was something he had always noticed in class and here again, Elliott could see through him. Elliott read him like a book. He could tell Noah wasn’t reckless. Which meant he was desperate. For what? Money? Attention? He wanted to know. He wanted to stay back and find out but he knew leverage when he saw it and knew when to use it. So, he left without acknowledgement. Right now, silence was more powerful than confrontation. *************************************************** The lecture hall felt smaller than usu

Chapter: Chapter Three - The Offer
Black Halo was swarmed up the way it always did every night. Yet it didn’t smell like the typical bar. It smelled of expensive sandalwood mixed with rich tobacco. On the stage, a woman moved with the slow, liquid grace of a predator. Her skin shimmered under the golden spotlight. The music was a deep rhythmic pulse. She commanded the attention of the men in the room. Men who commanded multi billion dollars companies and empires. Elliott was here and this time it was not by accident. He told himself it was curiosity but even he did not believe that. There was something about the performance that made him stayed the previous night and that same thing has brought him to Black Halo again. He sat in the same shadowed section as before. He did not order immediately but watched.Something was amiss. Elliott could tell. He didn’t feel the same way he did the last time. He struggled to enjoy the performance and ambience that when it ended, he contemplated leaving.Then...Noah appeared.

Chapter: Chapter Four - At What Cost
Elliott did not look at Noah once during the lecture. There was no form of lingering gaze or pointed questions or subtle acknowledgment of any kind. He lectured freely, professionally on economic determinism as if nothing had happened between them.“As long as survival is tied to resources,” Elliott paced slowly on the podium. “Freedom remains theoretical.”The class had an extreme quietness about it except for the scribbling sounds of the student’s pen as they jot down notes. Noah wasn’t writing. He was seated on the very edge of his seat, his legs kept vibrating and he forced a neutral expression on his face. Elliot’s words had stabbed through him like a knife, twisting until the air in the room felt too heavy to breathe. He stole a glance at Elliott and his mind flashed to the offer. Elliott’s words echoed in his head: “I find you difficult to ignore.” “I’m offering a private arrangement. You become unavailable to others.” “My offer.”Noah shook his head, then put a hand on his

Chapter: Chapter Five - The deal, His terms
Noah didn’t sleep that night. His room was a small cubicle at the end of the hallway. It could only fit in his bed and a reading table. The small window high on the wall was half opened yet the room was a furnace. Noah was stretched out on his student-sized mattress with eyes to the ceiling. Exhaustion sat behind those eyes like bruising. He had spent the entire night awake thinking of his debts. He calculated the numbers over and over again in the dark, as if they might somehow rearrange themselves out of mercy. The loud bang on the door wasn’t a wakeup call but a call to reality for Noah. He didn't move until the knock came a second time. It was Max, the building manager. Noah wasn’t surprised. Neither did he have the strength to plead.“I have been patient with you,” Max said, ignoring his tired looks.Noah just stared on.“Noah?” Noah staggered back. “I have it already. I will bring it to your room tonight when I get back.” Max weighed him for a bit, unsure if to believe or n

Chapter: Chapter Six - First Night Together
The sound of Noah's phone beeping alerted him. He stretched his hand to the bedside drawer, throwing down a few items as he blindly searched for the phone.Noah stared at the screen longer than necessary. It was a payment notification from Elliott just as they had agreed. What this meant for him was that rent was no longer a threat, tuition could be cleared, and working hours at Black Halo would no longer extend into midnights.Noah knew his life was about to become easier and he should have felt some relief but he didn't. Instead, he felt like something had shifted under his skin. His phone beeped again. This time it was a message from Elliott.Car will arrive at 7:30 p.m. Wear something simple. There was no greeting, no unnecessary words, just instruction. Elliott was clearly trying to show control.Noah read it twice then locked his phone.***By 7:00pm, Noah was dressed in a striped shirt over denim trousers and timberlands. That was the best outfit he could combine. Elliott had

The Man I Shouldn't Love

The Man I Shouldn't Love

As if my life wasn’t already complicated as a plus size woman who has always found it hard to find love, I go and fall in love with the wrong man. Stanley Pearson is my father's best friend. A billionaire. Twenty-nine years older than me. Engaged to my high school bully. And.. the only man I've ever truly loved. For years, my feelings were nothing more than a secret crush I swore I'd outgrow. Then my parents left for a three-year overseas assignment and asked Stanley to let me stay at his estate until I finish college. Now, I'm living under the same roof as the man I can't stop thinking about. Every day, I tell myself to keep my distance. Every day, I fail. Because the more time I spend with Stanley, the harder it becomes to ignore the way he looks at me. The way he remembers the little things. The way he makes me feel seen when the rest of the world looks right through me. Maybe I'm foolish. Maybe I'm delusional. Or… maybe some loves are too powerful to disappear just because they're forbidden. Whichever it is, my heart has never been very good at following the rules.

Chapter: 7 - My Best Worst Day
Amy’s P.O.VArghhhh I could strangle both of them right now. Or maybe just stack them up and sit on them, suffocating them with my weight. They both snapped their heads down to look at me, but I didn't back away. I slammed my laptop shut, shoved it into my bag, and hoisted it over my shoulder.I looked Chris dead in the eye first. “You used me just to get a petty swipe at your business rival? Pathetic. Day one is officially my last day, Mr. Hampton. Find another law student to play your corporate games.”Chris’s smug smile instantly faltered, his eyes widening in genuine surprise. Before he could speak, I whipped around to face Ley, whose jaw was still clenched. I stepped up right to his face, “And you,” I hissed, my voice trembling with rage. “I can’t believe you would think I’d sell you out. We are like family. I don’t betray family.”Without waiting for either of them to utter a single word, I turned on my heel and stormed out of The Mashup. I marched right past Ley’s three frozen

Chapter: 6 - Me vs Cold Shoulders and Hot Geniuses
Amy’s P.O.VHmmmmIt had been three days since the disastrous dress-fitting incident.Since that day, the atmosphere inside the Pearson mansion had been cold and quiet. Too quiet. If I didn't know any better, I’d say Ley had signed a deal with the Arctic Circle. And for the first time, I missed living in the campus dorm.Ley was treating me like I didn't exist. Can you imagine? Every time I tried to explain or start a neutral conversation or even asked how the financial crisis in his company was going, he always had a reason to walk away. It was either an emergency phone call to be had, a headache or just plain old cold, “excuse me.”Meanwhile, Quinn was parading around like royalty, a victorious queen who had successfully gotten her crown.Today was supposed to be a good day, and I wasn't going to let anyone ruin it for me. So, no more thinking of Ley, and please don't ask me about him.I decided to sit alone for a little breakfast before leaving for the day, like I have been doing f

Chapter: 5 - My Expensive Taste
Amy’s P.O.VYikes!Guess how I was spending my Saturday afternoon? Not studying… Not out with real friends… Not even in bed imagining a fictional world where Ley and I were lovers, which FYI, would have been a more productive use of my time than what I was currently doing."Oh, it is simply stunning! Don't you think so, girls?"Quinn’s melodic, high-society voice echoing off the ceiling of Maison de L'Amour brought me back to a reality I dreaded.Yep, I was shopping for bride's maid dresses with Quinn and her two other plastic friends; Chloe and Penelope.Maison de L'Amour was the most exclusive, ultra-elite bridal boutique in the city. Girls like Quinn, Chloe and Penelope were their target audience; wealthy and looking like they were on a strict diet of luxury water and celery sticksPenelope took a swirl round in the bride’s maid dress she was trying on. “This is A-mazinggggg.” "Oh yeah…” Chloe purred, adjusting her designer sunglasses. "But are we sure about the emerald green for

Chapter: 4 - My BFF From Hell
Amy’s P.O.VWhoa…Whoa… Slow down Missy.Quinn hasn't stopped blabbing since she asked me to be her maid of honor. Scratch that, since she ‘told’ me to be her maid of honor. “I really do need someone who is efficient. Someone who can hold my heavy train while I walk down the aisle to become Mrs. Pearson, you know…”She smiled. Her smile was tight. Definitely not genuine but mocking me.Before I could even open my mouth to either agree or reject the horrific maid of honor request, Quinn clapped her hands together, her face lighting up with a look of pure, angelic delight."Oh, it's just perfect!" she gushed, stepping so close I could smell her expensive floral perfume. "I have been thinking about how close I feel to you already, Amy. It’s almost like we’ve known each other for an entire lifetime. Don't you feel it too?"I stared at her through my thick lenses, my jaw nearly dropping to the floor. Is this chick for real?"That's because we have known each other for a long time, Quinn,

Chapter: 3 - Proving My Worth
Amy’s P.O.VOh Damn! For one beautiful, terrifying second, the entire universe shrank to the heat radiating off Ley's bare chest. My eyelashes brushed against the inner rims of my glasses as I tilted my face up, my lips parted, completely ready to throw my entire future into the fire for a single taste of him. Then, a harsh, buzzing sound vibrated violently against the deck.Bzzzzzz. Bzzzzzz. The light from Ley’s phone illuminated the dark. The spell shattered into a million pieces. Ley snapped his head back, pulling away from me so fast I actually stumbled a half-step forward. What? No… No… Go back to the moment! Mother Earth please rewind time. Please!!! Just one second more. The desire that had clouded his eyes vanished instantly, replaced by an impenetrable wall of professionalism as he snatched the phone up."Pearson," he spoke into the receiver, his voice completely stripped of the warmth that had just been melting my bones. He listened, his jaw hardening.I stood there, froze

Chapter: 2 - Moving In With My Crush
Amy’s P.O.VO.M.G When the gates of the Pearson estate swiveled open, it was like heaven's gate opening. My jaw dropped at its magnificence. Up ahead, the massive stone mansion loomed. It was an architectural perfection… just like the man who owned it.I steered my dented Toyota Camry down the winding cobblestone driveway, my hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. Here's a little gist: Ley came from old money that dated as far back as the Victoria era. So, back when I was seventeen I used to dream of being Mrs. Pearson and giving birth to children to fill all twelve rooms. We didn't have to work nor did the kids go to school, we just stayed in our mansions, ate from a table overflowing with all kinds of food and drinks then spent the evening in the flower fields. Okay, I heard you, fantasy right? Well don't blame me I was only seventeen. Now, I am twenty-one. I am a woman and have more realistic romantic expectations. I killed the engine and sat there for a minute, pushing my t
