Autumn's plan was to remain invisible, Vegas' plan was to destroy the faux safety net he had built.
Autumn, a broke scholarship student with a traumatic past had only thought about survival- his father's abuse, his mother's silence, until he comes in contact with Vegas, the richest kid on campus by accident and tries to ignore him but he soon learns that Vegas Clairemont always gets what he wants and is given two options: reject the most dangerous guy on campus or become his personal assistant.
Vegas is cruel, arrogant and direct. He is used to being in control and the world sees him as the reckless billionaire playboy who loves to wreck the lives of those he wishes. Autumn sees this little agreement as a way to make some money to help in assisting his mom as they had fallen on tough times since their escape from his abusive father but it's soon revealed that he just fell head first into the clutches of a monster who's become obsessed with owning him. Autumn tries to undo this yet a part of him loves that he is badly wanted by someone, that he's seen in a way no one else has. He now has to decide if he should walk away from this absurd union or experience the strangest relationship of his life. In the midst of all this, his father's presence becomes a looming threat.

Chapter: Chapter 5“What have you found so far?" he repeated impatiently which earned a shrug from Vegas. “Nothing much yet, but he's some scholarship rat, Architecture" he replied calmly."So your plan is to punish him?…" Remmy questioned with a pointed look. “Obviously, he needs to pay for my shirt.
