LOLA'S POV
“She is your.. your wife?" She gasped, realizing how deep of a pit she had dug for herself. Her anger quickly broke into panic.“I'm so sorry ma'am, please forgive me. I was stupid to have treated you that way.” She pleaded, crawling towards me as she tried to grab my leg.The moment her fingers touched me, something snapped within me.My hand moved before I could think as I rammed a hot slap on her cheek. The slap rang loud in the warehouse as her head snapped to the side, a red mark glowing on her cheek.Everyone went still.. even Andrea’s men looked shocked.I stared down at her, my chest rising and falling fast as my hands quivered. It wasn’t from fear, though. It was from anger. You locked me up, and I begged you, I pleaded for you to open the door, but you turned off the damn light." I yelled in anger.“I’m sorry… please..” She whimpered, but I couldn't bring myself to let iANDREA'S POV I sat in my office as my mind was clouded with thoughts of Lola. I had missed her so much over the weeks as I barely saw her now. Apart from seeing her in the morning before she left for school and attending family dinners and events, she was always busy."I want to be the one taking her time, and not some random jerk." I muttered to myself. But why am I feeling this way? The marriage contract was the only thing binding us together, so why was I missing her presence so badly? Why was I fantasising about her rosy skin... her brown eyes... and her soft kissable lips..."No.." I shunned myself, trying to push away the nasty thoughts going through my mind."You have to get a hold of yourself, Andrea," I muttered, slapping my cheeks lightly in a bid to push her thoughts away.Gosh, her absence was doing more harm than I could even imagine. Had she grown on me, or could it be that I was falling for her...No way! There's no way that is possible. Maybe I've developed a strange
LOLA'S POV"You slut— how dare you come anywhere close to my man?" Dira screeched and felt super pissed off. Did this bitch just call me a f*cking slut? God damn it!"You must be insane for calling me that— you crazy b*tch—." I fired back at her as I could hear the crowd mumbling amongst themselves."What— what did you just say?" Dira asked, looking back at her minions, who exchanged looks of shock."How dare you speak to her that way?" Shane yelled as I totally ignored them."This bitch has got some nerve!" Trici muttered, as her face flushed red in anger.Becky simply captured the moment with her cell phone, neither agreeing or disagreeing with them."You guys have got to be crazy to walk up to a total stranger and spill such crap on me. What man are you talking about, and why would I have anything to do with him?" I asked angrily, slowly losing my patience. There was no way I was going to let these brats walk all over me– I don't even give a f*ck about who they are.Martha tugged
LOLA'S POV "Calm down, Prof Muller, you don't have to be on edge around me, I'm still your student, remember?" Don said sarcastically, but that didn't change the tense atmosphere at all."My friend here," he said, pulling me closer, "told me that she didn't get her test slip. I was sure I saw her submit it sir, do you care to explain what is going on?" Prof Muller fidgeted, and after hesitating for a few seconds, he spoke up."Ooh, that must have been a great error from my end, I think I saw it lying around somewhere, and I was about to call the course rep to hand it to her." He blurted out, and I couldn't believe my ears.He saw it lying around? The same script he had bluntantly rejected knowing anything about. He shuffled through some sheets on his table before finally pulling out a test slip."Here is your slip, Ms Lola, I must commend you for such a great performance." He said, handing over the marked slip to me with a face full of smiles.I checked it out, and I had answered al
LOLA'S POV He walked towards me and sat on his desk, staring at me."Sir, I came to report that my test script is missing. Everyone else has gotten theirs, but mine is nowhere to be found. I don't know if you mistakenly left it out." I concluded, and he had an unbothered look on his face. "Is your test script missing, or you just didn't take my test?" He questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.I couldn't believe my ears. I had personally handed my script to him when I was done, so what was he implying?"I took the test, sir. I handed my script over to you myself when I was done, and you placed it with the others," I said, hoping he would somehow remember."Well, I don't remember doing that, and your script is not in my office. That test carries some good marks, and since you obviously didn't write it, you are going to have to retake the course." He concluded, and I couldn't believe my ears.
LOLA'S POV He walked closer, and the sharp smell of alcohol hit me. Was he drunk? My eyes squinted in the dark room that was slightly illuminated by the table lamps. I saw cans of beer littered on the floor and table. Was there a problem at work? How bad was it for him to get drunk over?"Ooh.. it's you.. Lola.. you are back.. from your... date," He said as he staggered towards me."Come on, tell me how it went.." He said, pulling me to the seat like we were longtime best friends who had to stay away from each other for a short while, and it was time to catch up with all the missed gists."Uuh.. it seems you are drunk, Andrea.." I stated as he immediately denied that, shaking his head vehemently in an effort to refute my claim."No.. no– not at all– I only had a can of beer, or two– was it three?" He asked, expecting an answer from me.Wow–he was definitely drunk."So how was your date? Did you have a great time?" He asked with so much interest. His face was right on mine, and we wer
LOLA'S POV I walked into the lecture hall, and all eyes were on me.Why are they all looking at me?A guy who was talking with a girl lost focus on her and stared at me. The girl got pissed off and brushed his hand away from hers, getting up and moving away.I wasn't too dressed up as I didn't want to be noticed by everyone, but I guess I still stood out with my black trousers and white t-shirt. I held one of the designer bags that I had gotten with Kira and some of my materials in the other hand.I took a seat at the front roll, eager for the professor to come in."Hello dear, is this seat taken?" Someone asked, and I looked up to see a beautiful blue-eyed girl. She was referring to the seat right beside me."No, it's free." I said as she sighed in relief. "Thank goodness!" She said happily, getting seated."Wait a minute... is that the limited edition fen
