LOGINSummer's POV
I woke up with a start from another nightmare, the same one that had haunted me for years, every single day. A nightmare where I woke up to find my father's blood-covered dead body.
"Where am I?" I got out of bed, looked around, and was very sure I wasn't in Rhys's place.
The last thing I could recall was that strikingly handsome man with a scarred forehead, gray eyes, and a delightful mess of caramelized brown hair. He had promised to save me, and everything had faded to darkness.
I headed to the door, trying to figure out how to get out of the room and find someone to tell me where I was. But I stopped when I saw my reflection in the mirror. Last night, I'd been wearing a white dress covered in blood, but now I was in a red silk nightgown. Someone must have redressed me, I thought.
For a brief moment, I scrutinized my face and felt relieved to find all the bruises had totally gone.
Since for the past two days, Rhys had made my face battered.
"Thanks, Moon Goddess," I hissed to myself.
The sudden knock startled me. Someone was coming; I knew it.
"Wh-who?" I stammered, but no one replied. Instead, in the next second, the door swung open, and a striking figure—a fine man in an unbuttoned white shirt revealing a muscled chest—emerged.
"Finally, you are awake." His sharp, ash-colored eyes pierced at me with a mysterious allure. I blinked rapidly, struggling to regain my composure in the presence of this captivating stranger.
"How are you feeling?" he asked in a deep tone with a calm demeanor, but it still made me nervous. His aura was intimidating but had a deadly charm at the same time.
"Where am I? And who are you?"
"I am Luxian Alderon, and you are in my pack, Blackcrown Shadow Pack."
"And... Is it you who changed my clothes?" I was unsure, but the question just slipped from my lips.
He didn't reply; he sauntered toward me with a smirk. For a second, I was stunned as I scanned his masculine features, those heavy brows, gray eyes, and freshly shaved beard that framed his chiseled jaw so perfectly.
"You better get ready," his tone firm and commanding.
"Ready for?" I wondered what he was trying to say.
"We're getting married tonight," he declared casually, gesturing toward a beautiful wedding dress in the closet. "Servants will come here to help you," he continued.
My eyes widened, shock washing over me. "Married?"
"I don't think I can, I..."
"I'm still tied to Rhys," I reasoned.
"No worries, I've made him reject you," he chuckled.
"Wh-what?!" I was quite shocked.
"Isn't this what you wanted? Don't you want to get away from them? Or... Do you prefer to spend your life suffering?" He knitted his brows.
"I mean... I am not ready to have another marriage."
I didn't know if I was ready for it since the pain of Rhys's betrayal had traumatized me and my wolf.
"There's not much time left, neither time to think," Luxian said coldly.
"I saved you, and now you have to repay me." He bent down, stroking my cheek in slow motion, his face mere inches from mine. It was so close that I could feel his warm breath brushing against my flesh.
"Repay you? H-how?" I managed to breathe out, my heart thumping in my chest. He stood back up and deftly buttoned his shirt while glancing at me.
"Marry me," Luxian's hand reached and brushed my chin gently. His eyes locked into mine with a softness I didn't expect as he pushed back a few strands behind my ear.
"And take this damned curse away from me..." he said firmly.
"Wh-what curse?" I hissed, holding my breath. I could feel my body shiver at his touch, and the feeling of his skin coming against mine sent a thrill down my spine.
Gradually, Luxian leaned over.
"The curse that made all my mates die..."
"If you don't get pregnant before 100 days, the curse will end your life too, just like the rest of them..."
I swallowed my saliva with difficulty.
Pregnant?
Not an easy thing for me. During my time with Rhys, I had suffered many miscarriages. I realized my percentage to break the curse that befell Luxian was only ten percent. Because the doctor had told me that I didn't have many eggs left.
"I am not sure about that, my doctor said I... I... only had a few eggs left. I'm not the right person to be your curse breaker. So, please let me go... Alpha," I pleaded.
Luxian chuckled, "Let go of you? After what I went through to get you?"
"You... you can find another wolf to break your curse, why should I?" I pleaded.
"You are my fated mate, and I have no choice, but trying my best to fuck and get you pregnant!"
"Fated mate? You must be lying, right? I don't feel anything for you, I can't even smell your scent!" I snapped.
"So, you refuse to return the favor?"
"Yes, I refuse," I was blunt.
Luxian sighed, smiled slightly, and said, "Okay then, I'll return you to Rhys. And let's see if you have a choice."
"Is that a threat?" I shouted.
"You can take it as a threat or an offer. It's up to you."
"You have a choice. You can either choose to die from this curse or die of Rhys's torment." He smirked before leaving, abandoning me alone in that room.
Rhys' POV The second I walked through the front pack door, Virginia exploded."I can't believe you embarrassed me like that!" She whirled on me, her face flushed with anger. "In front of everyone! You hit me, Rhys!""You were out of line," I said, loosening my tie. "Way out of line.""I was defending our relationship! While you were busy playing white knight for your precious Summer." She spat the name like it was poison. "God, you're still in love with her, aren't you?"I didn't answer fast enough, and Virginia's eyes flashed dangerously."That's it. I'm done with this bullshit." She stormed into the living room, and I heard her on the phone immediately. "Yes, hello? This is Virginia Paraguz, future Luna of the Fang Forest Pack. I need to book the Grandeur Hall for my wedding reception... What do you mean it's already reserved?"I sank onto the couch, already knowing where this was headed."I don't care who booked it first!" Virginia's voice pitched higher. "Do you know who I am? Do
Summer's POV I still couldn’t believe I belonged here. But with Luxian’s hand resting lightly on my back, it was starting to feel real."Alpha Luxian!" A distinguished older man with silver hair approached us, his Luna beside him in emerald silk. "Congratulations on the mating. And you must be Summer—we've heard wonderful things."*Wonderful things.* When was the last time anyone said that about me?Luxian's thumb traced small circles against my dress. "Marcus, Elena, thank you for coming. Summer, this is Alpha Marcus from the Riverside Pack and his Luna Elena."Elena smiled warmly. "That dress is absolutely stunning on you, dear. Mario De Franco?""Yes, it is." I managed not to stumble over the words, even though part of me still couldn't believe I was wearing a designer gown worth more than my old car."He's brilliant. I've been trying to get on his waiting list for months." Elena laughed. "You have exquisite taste."Before I could explain that it was all Luxian, he squeezed my wai
Summer's POVThe black dress Luxian picked hugs my body perfectly. For the first time in years—after drowning in all my stupid insecurities—I actually feel beautiful again. Like I did a decade ago. The dress is by Mario De Franco, that ridiculously talented designer whose pieces usually I used to just stare at his work in magazines, never dreaming I'd own one. But this afternoon, Luxian waltzed in with five of his latest creations, all on mannequins like they were royalty. "I want you to look spectacular," he said, nodding at the servants to wheel them into our room. "Why so many?" I asked. He just smirked—that mysterious, knowing smirk. "You'll like my reason." That was it. No explanation. Just that smug little curve of his lips, like he was dangling a secret just out of reach. "What is it?" "You'll know later." Once the maids left, Luxian helped me try them on, one by one. And yeah, they were all gorgeous—Mario's signature delicate details, the gold threading, the ti
Author's POV "There’s an important meeting tonight," Luxian announced between bites of breakfast in bed—the same bed where they’d made love hours earlier. Summer stopped chewing mid-bite. "Meeting? What kind?" she asked, wiping crumbs on her lips. "An annual meeting for all the Northern Alphas," he replied as sipped his espresso."We’ll discuss pack security, territory disputes, and host a charity auction for wounded veterans—disabled wolves included." He set his cup down with a quiet clink. "Rhys and his new wife will be there." Summer choked on her toast. Luxian’s lips curved into a knowing smirk. "Why so surprised?" "I am not!" she snapped, lied, her throat tightening. "No, I just don't know why you felt the need to tell me that."Luxian smiled slightly, "I just wanted you to know." Luxian traced the rim of his coffee cup. "If Rhys’s presence makes you uncomfortable, I can attend the meeting alone—" "No." She shouted, her forks clattered against the plate."I’m comin
Author's POV ( 18+ scene)Luxian did not want to waste any more time-he could feel Summer burning up, her desire undeniable. The heat between them, that Moon Goddess -given connection, had pushed her past the point of resistance. He dragged his rough, wet tongue over her pussy, meanwhile Summer's body tensed, her blood rushing from her toes to the top of her head. Summer's hand unconsciously grabbed Luxian's hair. Luxian's tongue stroking was getting crazier, and he slipped a finger into her hole. Summer trembled, pulling Luxian deeper to sink between her thighs. Now his fingers and tongue moved faster, more recklessly, until the heat inside her exploded, drenching his face as she came."Oh my God--Sorry-" Summer gasped, suddenly embarrassed, trying to push him away. But Luxian stopped her."Don't be," he growled. "I love it. You're fucking sexy when you come." As he could feel his cock strained against his boxers, painfully hard. He stood up, pulling her up with him."We're moving
(18+ scene) beware!"I think I can walk by myself," Summer said when Luxian offered to carry her upstairs after the check-up at the pack clinic."Don't be stubborn, Summer. I know you're in pain." Luxian's voice was cold, but his eyes looked sincere."I can do it," Summer insisted,Summer tried to ignore him, turning her head away to avoid eye contact. She didn't want to be swayed by his kindness -or rather, what she believed was him pretending to be kind. Because she knew he wasn't.She pushing herself up from the clinic bed, leaning on the edge of the bed to stand steadily. She taking a deep breath as she walked, putting most of her weight on her good leg while only letting the heel of her injured foot touch the ground. Truthfully, she was in a lot of pain right now, but she refused to let Luxian see it. If she showed weakness now, it'd be humiliating -since she'd already turned down his help. But still, Luxian followed her patiently, arms crossed over his chest. Every now and then
