"Darn it!" Zoey smashed her phone across the marble floor. Her anger and frustration were beginning to consume her from within. She had been phoning Daniel since the morning but apparently he was doing a great job ignoring her. She loathed herself for her mistakes; if she had informed Daniel earlier about her alliance perhaps these troubles could have been averted. But it was too late for regret now,her Father had marvelously victimized Daniel while Gray played the devil's advocate. She wondered how long her beloved would stay away from her. Just the thought alone kindled another wave of pain within.
