In life, Oscar Michael Torres prefers variance over anything else.
A variation in schedule, in plans, even in the way he cooks his eggs. He is not opposed to the way that these changes come about and embraces them whenever he can.
Another example, and his personal favorite as a musician, is variation in tempo. His top music genres following after both hip hop and rap, is jazz and blues. Two genres that are most frequently known for their inconsistency and variance in every song.
The knowledge that his life is lived in direct opposition to his partner’s life is not missed.
Oscar is completely and totally aware of the fact that Bo likes patterns, schedules, and things being planned in advance. Bo prefers symphonies and harmonies, and the occasional rap
Oscar could have easily expected anything else from Bo when he had arrived at the apartment. His first thought after the call was of a break in, because of Lydia’s mention of glass on the floor and a knocked over shelf. The second thing he considered was an incident involving some form of PTSD episode, that something had reminded him of his accident and he was spiraling.Oscar had not expected a meltdown of such magnitude. Both Oscar and Bo had spoken only a few times about some of Bo’s previous meltdowns.Moments where he did not speak for days, and where he could not leave his bed at any point. Times when thinking became too much, and his only solace came in the form of a repeated song on a record player.Oscar had yet to see a moment like that, and the conversation had stemmed solely from the fact that this was almost surely something that would happen.Osca
It was only because of Bo’s dependency on the stability that Oscar provided that the paramedics allowed the smaller man into the back of the ambulance for the ride to the hospital. The female paramedic climbed into the back with Bo and Oscar, and the male took control over driving the car to the nearest hospital. Her practices were methodical, and cautious.“No sirens?” Oscar phrased his request as a question, noting the way that the woman smiled and nodded in confirmation, her expression kind. She turned to the front, repeating it as a command to the man driving the vehicle, he nodded as a reply before shifting the car into drive and pulling away from the curb.It was a comfort to know that the woman continued to be aware of what should be done in this situation, though it was her job to know. It still came as a reassurance, since Oscar was not sure of exactly what to do in relation to B
This is an information chapter. My point for writing this is to provide insight to Oscar-Michael Torres’ relationship with Doctor Bradley Oliver Jones in specific situations that may not appear in my text otherwise. This will be centered around relationship questions provided by another writer.Enjoy.Who is emotionally stronger? It truly depends on the situation and on what emotion the pair is dealing with. When it comes to a negative emotion, like fear or sadness or frustration, Oscar is the stronger one. This is for the main reason that he is able to voice exactly what these emotions are and work through them without the help of anyone, though he welcomes help if it is offered, and knows when to ask for help.Bo has a tendency to push these negative emotions away until they build up and he has a shutdown or, at the worst of times, a
The first words that both Lydia and Oscar shared after their initial meeting on the glass covered floor of Bo’s apartment, was an apology. An apology that was easily dismissed by the shorter man.Oscar hugged her tightly, wrapping his arms around her waist in a comforting way that rivaled the wonderful hugs that Bo would only give on occasion. She felt a sense of peace and calm in his arms, and wondered almost instantly if Bo often felt the same when he was with the man.Lydia easily considered the idea of becoming friends with the man, though she was not sure if it could have ever happened under any other circumstances.Bo would be their main connection from this point on, and the chances of a relationship growing before this beginning connection was slim. Though mainly for the reason that she would not like any more relations within the Broadway world. Her life is so easily full of people in this crowd, she would l
There is a very specific feeling associated with waking up in a hospital that is solely dependent on who you are in the hospital. For those waiting around for news of whatever kind, there are indistinguishable emotions in every person, though they can be split into two categories; good and bad.The excitement of someone in their life giving birth, and a newborn baby’s cries echoing down the hall. The good news of pregnancy, or the excitement of a loved one's cancer no longer present on scans. The excitement of any news that is meant to be heard happily. This is the good. But not everyone at a hospital is there for happy news, and often times people will forget this fact, though to no fault of their own.Surgeon’s
For the first time that he could ever remember, Oscar was actually glad for the fact that he came home to an empty apartment.Usually, he would hate it. The silence meant that Jessamine was visiting her grandmother and without Jessamine, it would always lead to some form of drinking, usually wine, and the few horror movies he owned that left him feeling a strange sort of energetic that led to more wine.Oscar was used to the way that Jessamine’s excited voice that always spoke a thousand words a minute and brought a smile to his face, but in this moment, he only wanted silence for the benefit of Bo.The man had not spoken in any way since the pair had left the hospital, not even in the signs that Oscar had not expected to re
The first night that Oscar and Bo shared a bed, it was peaceful in an easy way that should not have worked out as well as it had.Their hands stayed delicately intertwined in the space between them the entire night, and when Oscar woke in the morning it was to Bo’s blue eyes already looking at him in an admiring way. The color was bright, just as they had been when Oscar first met the man, and while Bo insists on his embarrassment of their first meeting, the event never ceases to make Oscar smile.Oscar wants more than anything to fall into the blue and lay in bed to see the night sky in his partners eyes until the sky matches them. But Bo had looked embarrassed when Oscar caught him staring, and the deep blue color faltered. He appeared to push away the feeling before immediately pulling on their joined hands with little effort, Oscar complied, watching as Bo brought the smaller man closer to him. Kissing his lips s
Bringing down a therapist was not as easy as Lydia had hoped it would be.However, considering the fact that she had never attempted to take down anyone of her caliber before. Of course, sexist co-workers, corrupt directors, and those who make advances far outside of the realm of what is allowed were all something she could find easy to take down.Lydia could frustratingly admit that corruption and instances like what happened to Bo is apparent in all aspects of society and its appearance in the hospital, while not expected, was not a surprise. She assumed that the adventure of pulling this specific person off of her pedestal was a rather enjoyable one.To begin with, Lydia was required to make three phone calls to three separate departments, and she was not bothered by
