FALINE practically bounced on the balls of her heels with impatient energy. She stood near the edge of the budding village, another two huts and shelter for the farm animals completed since Faline had sensed Ailene and Hunter's approaching presence. Her gaze focused in the distance, across the forest blanketed in a dense white fog. Faline casually wondered if Ailene had somehow brought the mist down from the mountains with them.
