Chapter 12

After our window shopping, we've decided to go to this Korean ramen shop. All my life, I've never eaten a ramen cause I think they're too spicy for me. Although, my mom told me that we are somehow Korean (because the cousin of our great great grandfather is a Korean), I still never tried it.

"I'm so happy that they have it here." Lucas babbled. According to Stacey, Lucas is half Chinese and half Korean. So he must have really love ramen.

We sat on a four-seater table. I was on the other side while they were in-front of me. Stacey was insisting Lucas to seat next to me, but I convinced them that I eat a lot whenever I can see people in front of me.

"If that's the case. I'll seat here in front of you, master. I want you to eat all the kinds of ramen you want. My treat!"

Lucas yelped then Stacey clapped her hands.

These two were very much the same...

Lucas ordered us Yuk Gae Jang since that was the best seller. In my opinion this looks spicy though, because of its red colored soup.

"Hey, I'm not used in eating spicy foods." I protested to Lucas, then he looked at me.

"Oh really? Okay, I'll order the NongShim." I don't understand what he's saying but I think that's the mild flavor.

"That's their mild flavor." Lucas said. I knew it.

After 5 minutes, our order was already served. The crew placed a big bowl in front of me and I am fascinated with the smell. I can actually still smell spiciness in my soup, but I think I can handle it.

"Dig in, guys!" Stacey cheered.

So, I picked up my spoon and took a sip on this hot soup. When I tasted and swallowed it, it was so freaking spicy that I ended up choking. Lucas offered me a glass of water and I immediately drank it.

"What was that?" I bursted out.

"I swear that was Nongshim." Lucas told me.

"It doesn't seem like it." I whispered then wiped off the excess water on the side of my mouth.

"I'm sorry, Alayna. I didn't know—" Then Stacey bursted in laughter.

"Just admit it, Lay. You can't really handle spicy foods, you just insisted to eat this cause you've never tried ramen, ever..." I looked at her. Of course she knows that.

"For real?" Lucas said while eating the noodles.

"Yep." Stacey said with a popping 'p' sound. "And did you know that, she's somehow Korean?" Ugh. Can someone please stop her?

After we ate, I excused myself to go to the ladies' room, the two were just waiting for me outside.

The rest room were empty as I enter, but then one of the cubicle opened and it was Clover. She was wearing this mini black dress and her long wavy hair floats above her stomach.

"Oh, the newbie." She walked towards the sink and washed her hands.

I just ignored her and enter one of the cubicle. What's her peg? Some kind of a bully?

When I exited the cubicle, Clover is still here, leaning on the isle.

"Can we have a talk?" She then turned to face me and folded her arms onto her chest.

"What is it?"

"I don't know what's with this act. But, stay away from Lucas. He's a great guy and doesn't deserve to be treated the way you treat him." Clover's still calm, even though her words were like a venom that any moment could kill me.

I didn't answer her, so she just left the restroom. Those kind of people are the people I wanted to avoid. They all have this drama in their mind, and will never be removed just like a permanent tattoo.

When I went out, Stacey immediately went to me, asking if I'm okay. Lucas is nowhere to be seen, Stacey told me that Clover invited Lucas at the restaurant downstairs because Clover's family were here too.

"That's alright, we can have fun with or without him." I proudly said to Stacey. We walked together and directly went to the arcade.

Aside from books, I love playing online or arcade games. When I was young, still didn't know that I have this condition, my dad would always bring me to the arcade and we will play that game called horse smashing and tekken.

The arcade in this outdoor mall is humungous, it looks like all the games that I played when I was a kid were here.

Stacey pulled me to play basketball. She said that whoever lose the game, will be treating the winner a crêpe.

"Game on!"

When I was a kid, I had a little practice playing this game in the arcade. I remembered that my dad asked me how did I reached level six, I just answered him that I really like the sound whenever the ball shoots in the ring.

I suddenly miss my dad. Oh well, I know he's already happy with family number two.

Stacey and I just kept shooting, but Stacey didn't got the chance to reach level four. Therefore I am the winner.

"How did you do it, huh?" Stacey's panting and either was I.

"You know, just a little wish on my fairy godmother." Then we both laugh.

Next we went to the booth of tekken. There were so many people watching the two players, fighting to each other. I saw in the screen that the girl is undefeated. Another minutes passed, and she won again.

"Who else!" She contended. And all others were just murmuring on how arrogant this girl is.

"Me!" Then I saw Stacey, were already marching towards the machine.

Does she know what she's doing?

The murmurs got even louder. I heard that it's the first time for a girl-to-girl match.

I went to Stacey's side.

"Can you handle this?" I trailed off to Stacey.

"Sit back and relax, Lay." She then gave me a smirk.

Okay. I know she got this.

It's time to pick their characters. The girl picked Kazumi, not that I know of, she's the mother of Kazuya, the daughter-in-law of Jinpachi, the paternal grandmother of Jin and the ex-wife of Heihachi.

This is one of the characters that I am afraid of.

Stacey then picked Lucky Chloe, the cutie cat player. For me she's one of the easiest to fight with.

"Look, I looked just like Lucky Chloe." Stacey giggled.

Then the battle begins. The first round, it just took 30 seconds for the girl to knocked out Stacey. I can see that Stacey is having a hard time controlling the machine. In the second round, Stacey was knocked out once again. The girl has one more win and she's undefeated again.
