CHAPTER XX: PREPARATIONS

“Bien my boy, you don’t need to come over here if you feel you’re needed at the Resort. I am well-cared for. As a matter of fact, they will be letting me leave by tomorrow afternoon. The doctors actually said it was good that I’m overweight because I have a thick layer of fat protecting my chest, hahaha!”

Hero opens his last bottle of wine while keeping his phone stuck between his shoulder and ear, and just chugs from the bottle. Typically, his parents would’ve put up a fuss if they saw him drinking without a proper glass but since he’s now back in his campus condo, he can practically do whatever he wants.
