He took a swig from his bottle and stared up at the ceiling.

“What are you drinking?” I asked him.

“A little something from the corner store.”

“Why, are you drinking?”

He shrugged. “Stressed, I guess.”

“Why are you stressed?”

“Isn’t it obvious?” He gestured at my attire.

“I thought you didn’t care.”
