As the school day ended...

I found myself strolling through the woods. The sun had set, and the encroaching night was beginning to shroud the forest. Suddenly, I felt a presence trailing me. Fear gripped me, and I quickened my pace, refusing to look back. I was terrified that someone might be lurking, ready to pounce. But then, I remembered my newfound power. I could defend myself. So, I halted, spun around, and yelled,

"Reveal yourself!"

But there was no one. The only sounds were the rustling of tree branches, a nocturnal bird, and the gentle breeze brushing against my skin. Suddenly, my doppelganger materialized before me, warning,

"Be careful, Lyca."

Immediately, I summoned my shield to guard myself, as advised by my doppelganger. Tree branches were hurled towards me. They weren't falling naturally; they were moving with intent, as if the trees themselves were attacking me. But my shield held strong, rendering their attempts futile.
