Ch.9 - "I think I'm gun phobic."

Serena Esposito

Calily seemed nowhere to be found. I had somehow lost her while dancing. For some reason, a particular male kept ogling me as I danced. Guess this was the part I was good at…

Dancing.

I flip my hair as I swayed my waist from left to the right. I twirled round the dance floor. With my hands behind my ear, I moved to the rhythm of the music. It was a song by popular artist Cardi B. Titled, I like it.

Just when I was done dancing, I walked back from the dance floor to the bar.

I had already emptied my bottle of vodka and was beginning to feel tipsy.

“Calily? You’re a big bitch. I hate you for leaving me here.” I admitted drunkenly. I was a sorry case, presently.

“Hey there, pretty.” A voice called out as I sit on the bar seat.

“Aren’t you too much of a doll to be lonely?” The husky voice said. It was a male figure I saw when I looked up. His eyes scanned through my body with lust. Guess my luscious curves and slim waist did that trance.

He had a clean-cut chin and dressed like a model that had that gotten out of the runway.

“Who are you?” I asked.

“I’m Ricardo.” He replied taking my hands to his chin.

“It’s nice meeting you again, Energia Rossa.” He smiled with his neat sets of teeth. I could swear he had two heads. Oh, it’s one. Serena? Never drink again.

“How do you know my strip name? Who are you?” I asked him.

“I think we should leave this area. How about you come to my place? Name your pay.” He whispered into my ears. I mentally cringe. I felt like throwing up.

“No, go away. I’m not coming with you.” I think this flared something in him. He grabbed my hands to his hard-on.

“See what you do to me. Come like a quiet bitch and let’s settle this.” He rudely retorted forcefully holding me.

“Stop it!” I cried out.

A figure zoomed in suddenly hitting the man.

“Take him away from here.” He ordered some bouncers at his back. They dragged the poor man away from our sight as he begged for mercy. The light shone on his face, revealing my savior.

Luca Marino.

“You wear this attire out and expect no one to look at you?” He chimed in. I rolled my eyes swiftly.

“Why are you so mean all times? You hate me so much, don’t you?” I muttered, still drunk.

“Let’s go, Energia. You need to rest.” Luca suggested. He was as mysterious as ever.

“Nah, I’m not leaving my homegirl, Calily. I love her so much!” I yelled. He looked insanely gorgeous with his two faces.

Oh, yes. There is only one face.

Which is his. Basically, staring at me.

“It’s cute you think you have a choice, Energia. Let me re-phrase this again…” He trailed out.

He smirked dangerously as I took of my shoes. I was beginning to feel unreasonably hot in here.

“Come with me, now or I won’t hesitate to plug a bullet hole in that blonde head of your friend’s.” Luca threatened.

I was starting to become sane again. Especially after he had just threatened to eliminate my soul sister.

“Alright, let’s go.” I said.

“You’re so mean. You’re a bad guy.” I whispered under my breath.

“What was that?” He asked faintly.

“It’s nothing.” I retorted.

We stepped out of the club with his hands around my waist possessively. Just what I needed. Really.

The drive home was solid and strange cause I stopped the car about three consecutive times to throw up my body contents. If I didn’t drink or hadn’t ever had sex, I would have marked myself to be pregnant. I was never going to drink alcohol again without water beside me.

“Sober now, are we?” Luca asked mischievously. I didn’t miss how close we were. I quietly moved to the other side of the car only for him to drag me back into his arms.

“I need my private space away from you.” I gracefully defended. I wondered what I’ve gotten myself into.

“No, Energia. You are right where you should be.” He directs his gaze to his trousers, showing his gun.

“Do you think that will intimidate me?” I asked. Two could play at that game.

Luca narrowed his eyes then pulled the gun out. For a moment, I actually froze. This wasn’t the first time I was seeing a gun.

I had seen guns and heard shots flying back at the club but, this was different. Whenever I heard gunshots, I was obliged to run. Yet, now. I wasn’t even permitted to even move.

“Careful, love. Don’t push me too far or else I won’t hesitate to plug a hole into that gorgeous forehead of yours.”

I figured I better shut up for now. As much I liked throwing tantrums, I had fucked with this man countless times to be forgiven.

“I-I want to go home.” I admitted. I didn’t like this quirky feeling I felt around him.

“So much for saving your drunk ass back at the club.” Luca retorted. I chuckled for a moment.

Feeling my forehead, beads of sweat were already formed. I had this uptight feeling with him holding the gun.

“I think I’m gun phobic.” I spat out.

He immediately kept the gun right back in his trousers. The car halted to a stop. I looked around. I was back to his house.

“Why did you bring me back to your house?” I asked him. My gawd, Calily would be so worried by now. I had left without saying anything.

He opened the door and pulled me out. His hands were firm but somewhat gentle.

“Ricardo’s men would still be on loose.”

“Wait, then what of Calily?” I asked.

“My men have taken care of your friend. She’s safe.” His words are like a deep well. They were so hollow and left you with million more questions.

Luca leads me inside his house. It’s a mansion with gold and white. Its inside is with golden chandelier and immaculate white chairs. It’s like a royal setting overall.

“First off, who are you? Why do you have a gun? Why are you protecting me?” My questions are immense cause he hissed loudly kicking off his shoes.

“For a petite like you, you ask far too many questions.”

“Yes, because I want to know. What do I mean to you? If you’re protecting me, I don’t need your protection. I don’t want to get involved in whatever you are involved in.”

“It’s too late, Energia. You already know so much for you not to be involved.” He retorts.

He walks over to his bar spot and brings out a bottle of tequila. Pouring two cups, he hands me one. I reluctantly grab the wine cup.

“So, what am I to do now? I’ll have to go away at some point, right?” I asked.

“That’s why I want to make a deal with you.” He stated. Luca was so mysterious. Sometimes, I wondered what lurked beneath that dark eyes of his.

Jeez! Telling his mate he’s going to get rid of her friend then saying he’s going to put a bullet in her. WTF?! She’s his mate, I so hope she pays him back!! I hope Calily is ok. Another amazing chapter though I hate being left on the edge of my seat!
