Sunlight peeped into Haven’s room. She stirred in her bed and felt a pair of hands holding close enough to his heart. Suddenly reality hit her. She turned around in a swift and saw Lucas. He was peacefully asleep in her bed, holding her close to him. Now that she had some time and Lucas was asleep, she spent her time to trace her finger tip on Lucas’ face and inspect him thoroughly. She noticed that he had a small mark on his jaw and a few scratch marks on his face, right below his left eye. She wondered how did he get them.
“If you are done scanning my face, please let me know,” Lucas said, his eyes still closed.
