Chapter 3
I woke up early the next morning, jumping off the bed my body aching for a night of sleep. I walked in the shower. The water wasn’t hot, it was exceptionally warm though. I couldn't help but let the tears roll down my cheek. funny how I feel more blessed than I was in the pack. finishing and coming out of the shower, I found a fresh pair of underwear in the room as well as a t-shirt and shorts. I walked out of the apartment closing the door behind me.
Walking upon the street of this unwanted city, I looked for places who were willing to hire me. I needed to start fresh and make sure I was going to live well. There was a notice board with all sorts of advertisements and there, people stood taking down number after number. I guess unemployment is really a big thing in this city. it's funny how the entire concept of being rogue was twisted within the pack.
tale after tale of how the moon goddess cursed the rogues, or how rogues lost their minds the moment they broke free from. but here I was standing among them. and they were just like any other being.
were they hut like I was?
The town’s people were not at all well dressed and some looked as if they hadn’t eaten for days. I saw several places and went to look. At first, I stopped at a bakery. I opened the door as the bell chimed stepping in.
“Umm...hello, my name is Noella Cindy James and I’m here in search for work.” The owner which happened to be a man, stood up looking at me.
“You look new, haven't seen you around here, did you recently join the City?” he asked in curiosity.
“Yes, yes I have,” I said smiling, feeling warmth radiate off him.
“Well then welcome, but I would like to ask you, do you have any experience in baking?” he questioned me.
“Yes, I do, I was an omega in my last pack and I have been, cooking, baking and cleaning for almost 10 years of my life,” I said, my heart dropping.
funny how your status follows you even when you've tried to break free from it.
“Well then, you have the job. But I am very sorry to say that the pay isn’t much, ever since the rule of king Edmond.” He said. this was the second time that name came up, who was this king Edmond, what is up with him?
"Could I ask about the ruler of this city? I thought rogues had no ruler and were free spirits." I questioned out of curiosity.
"Well seeing that you're from a pack, I guess you don't learn these things. Rogues, like any other werewolves, do need to be led, otherwise, how would we survive away from connections? we've already broken the ones we were destined with, it won't be long before you lose your mind being alone." he explained
"I see," I said my mind buzzing with questions.
"Well, that's enough of that! again I'm sorry that we can only offer you so little, we are in need of a hand, but everyone turns us down because of the minimal pay." he smiled patting my back.
“Of course as long as I can pay tax and afford meals to eat, I will accept the job,” I said. The owner nodded and smiled.
“Well then you are hired, oh and how rude of me, to carry out a conversation without introducing myself. I am William, I am a married man with 4 children. It is nice to meet you.” He introduced himself.
And thus my working began. Every morning I would be at the bakery at 6 am, though William and his 19-year-old son, Daxton, would be there before. They would usually start opening the shop. Denis, Williams 17-year-old son, would bake with me the loaves of bread and cakes as well as desserts and help me display them at the front window. From 7 in the morning to 12 in the afternoon, that’s when the business is busy, then by noon, that’s when the it dies down.
Penelope, Williams 15-year-old daughter, gets back from the school down the road and sweeps the front of the shop.
in the afternoon William goes out for a run and his wife Penelope takes his place watching the shop. Once William gets back, I would help Penelope go around the city Delivering the coffee ordered by some of the neighbours.
I don’t know why, but at the end of every month, tax rises by $10. whenever I asked Elliot he would just say, “that’s king Edmonds rule” and sound depressed, what is this king Edmond all about. Half the town is going into poverty, some people aren’t living and some starving. is he truly their leader?

4 months later……
Sweeping the front of the shop in Williams daughter's stead, my mind kept wondering about. I still haven’t forgotten what my family and pack did to me if I could even refer to them that way. it's funny how the hurt of being rejected is still embedded in my mind.
I still haven’t forgotten how my own mate banned me from my own pack, though life was still going on as if nothing had happened. how I laid awake every night, imaging him suffering like how he had made me suffer. sighing I continued to drown in my thoughts.
“Leave me alone!” yelled someone in agony bringing me back to reality.
Snapping out of my despicable thoughts I ran toward the screaming, my heart thumping in my chest. There a crowd gathered around doing nothing. Why?
Memories of the past evaded my thoughts as I shook them away. I ran toward the crowd, pushing to the front. When I got there, Penelope was being held by a man. his buff and rough demeanour wafted as he barred his teeth towards her.
“Why should I leave such a beautiful woman like yourself alone, I want you?” He said disgustingly, as he grabbed her face roughly.
feeling her desperate pleas, I walked towards them. the bravery had shown up unexpectedly and for some reason, I felt I was getting myself into a situation I was not going to come out of safely.
“Don’t touch her like that,” I said to this man before me.
the man turned to look at me, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Go away little girl, this has nothing to do with you," he said chuckling to himself as he turned to Penelope again.
not knowing what to do, I took off my shoe and threw it to his head trying to get his attention away from Penelope so I could make a run for it. He growled at me, charging for my neck, not knowing what to do I tried dodging him as my foot got caught up with his, making us both fall. he had fallen forward and for some reason he made no movement. did he pass out? taking a closer look towards him I watched as blood oozed on the ground, from his head.
did I just kill someone? I felt my hands trembled slightly as the crowd stared at the scene before them. my heart thumped against my chest. an accident was about to change my life for the worse. the stares continued as their facial expressions changed.
Then everyone erupted in……..
Chapter 4Then everyone erupted in loud cheers.*****
Chapter 5:The simple thought of changing my fate had a fire ignited inside me. The cruel fate that I was born with was going to change. and I was going to change it. how intriguing it was to have the power to control how your life proceeds.I was going to be the storyteller from here on out.
I shook my head removing the negative thoughts that had evaded my mind. I turned to Elliot with a smile who seemed surprised by my sudden change of mood.“So what do I have to do to be queen?” I questioned. Eliot looked at me in disbelief.“You just gave an entire lecture and speech about how you would rule as queen, and you're asking me how?” he questioned reminding me. I roll
Chapter 7:We had gone around wing after wing of the palace that seemed never-ending. Eliot dragged me up the spiralled staircase, and I only looked to see the many, manystairs. i was never athletic and to think walked this much was actually an accomplishment. I huffed, following behind Eliot. He stopped abruptly making me slam my face into his stoned back.
Chapter 8 (Unedited)I was drowning, deeper, deeper, deeper, into a dark abyss. Everything sounded blur. my vision blurry, my breathing heavy. When I reached the bottom, I stood steadily. Unfamiliar with my surrounding, a sense of anxiety began o rise within me.Where am I? I looked around
Chapter 9: (Unedited)I walked to the bathroom, my head aching and my body still showing and holding a few bruises that refused to disappear and simply held me hostage from my past and some new ones. I looked in the mirror and to be vague I looked like absolute crap, and it was no thanks to that bastard of a mate of mine. I groaned putting on the shower. If he thought putting me through this pain was
“well?” I questioned him. He grinned slyly.for some reason, I knew I was going to be unsatisfied with what hed found out, but I didn't have it in me to show my nice and excusing side. Being queen meant showing no weakness and that was what I was going to do. Every little change shall allow me to reach my goal ever so slowly and successfully.“Are you sure you want to know, your majesty? ” he asked with playful eyes. What kind of question was that? Did he think he was being funny right now? I didn't know."Stop playing around Elliot, and tell me what you have gathered?” he let out a sigh, pulling a chair Penelope had brought and taking a seat."You're no fun at all, my dear Queen," he mocked."If I was fun, things wouldn't be running as smoothly as they are right now, am I wrong?""Well, my dear Noella, the news I bring will make you slightly furious, so, let’s start with the less angeri
Chapter 11:"Well done Elliot, you have satisfied me," I praised."You praise me too much your highness, it is my duty to do so," he said as he bowed slightly with a smirk. indeed Elliot was a man and force to deal with."Well then, make preparations to warn Nathan and his pack. Who it is, must remain anonymous. I want him and my sister to shiver in fear knowing there's someone after them."there was nothing better than playing slight tricks here and there before actually getting to the good parts of revenge."And make sure he understands it clearly. Do I make myself clear?” I asked Eliot. He nodded with a grin on his face.“When do we depart?” he questioned, excitement getting the best of him.“Well not now, right now, I want you to take me to my beloved mom and dad.” I demanded slyly.“We wouldn’t want to keep them away from you, now would we?&r
