Unshackled

Inside a space, four shadows stood as they saw the death scene of a certain woman in outside world. Their eyes filled with sadness as the woman's eyelids started fluttering and Slowly closed. The four shadows grieved over the woman's death as if they wanted to exchange position with the woman. They wanted death came to them instead of the woman.

"I really can't stand it any longer! Why my lady has to suffer like that?!", one of the shadow growled viciously.

"Calm down, Bai Hu." the second shadow said in calmly manner.

"Calm down?! How can I calm down when the master I suppose to protect had suffered like that?!" Bai Hu roared at the second shadow.

"I am not like YOU who can still be calm while seeing my lady suffered so much grievances! Sometimes I wonder if you really think of my lady as your master!"

"Don't you DARE judge me. I am not a certain someone who wore emotion as his sleeve." The second shadow said in icy tone.

"What did you mean by that?! Are you trying to say that I am emotional?!"

"Well aren't you?"

"You bastard!!"

"ENOUGH!" Another shadow cut in between, the tone was soft yet strict. "Can't the both of you be friendly towards each other instead of bickering every single time?"

"It's this guy's fault!!" Both Bai Hu and the second shadow shouted at the same time.

"Hehe~ Leave them be Zhu Que, it's their way of interacting" The last shadow spoke after being silent up till now. "They are best friend after all~"

"We're not best friend!" Once again both Bai Hu and the second shadow shouted in sync. Realizing that, they locked eyes with each other while growling.

"I won't cut in the middle if they weren't too noisy and stop acting as if you care about them, Xuan Wu. I know you said those words because I interrupted your fun."

Xuan Wu chuckled, clearly didn't mind being seen through by Zhu Que "My sweet Zhu Que is smart as always~"

Zhu Que rolled her eyes upon hearing Xuan Wu's remark before turning her gaze towards the stupid duo who were still growling at each other.

"Bai Hu, Qing Long stop it right now or else--" Her eyes flashed a dangerous glint as three ball of golden flame appeared at both sides of her body and on top of her head. Her body emitted a dangerous aura as if daring both parties to go against her.

Bai Hu and Qing Long who saw the flames and noticed the dangerous aura surrounded her body, froze instantly. They glanced at each other before turning their head away. Silence finally came to the space where the four of them resided.

Zhu Que who saw both parties finally calm down, nodded in satisfaction.

On the side, Xuan Wu could only tried to hold his laughter seeing the docile act of Bai Hu and Qing Long. No matter how many times he saw it, it could always tickle his funny bone. Among the four of them, Zhu Que was considered the leader because only Zhu Que who could tame both Bai Hu and Qing Long.

"Look." Zhu Que turned her gaze back at the floating image in front of them. "The chain that was binding My Lady's soul finally unshackled.."

Seeing the image, Bai Hu and Qing Long wore elated. It could be seen clearly on their faces.

"Finally.. I can serve my lady again.." Bai Hu muttered with a sense of longing.

"'The Curse of Thousand Spirits' is indeed strong, it can even destroy the curse chain that was binding My Lady's soul" Qing Long said, his eyes never left the screen. Longing could be seen clearly in his eyes then soon it was added with a sense of worry.

"Now that My lady has reincarnated, going through the same path again, I am worried about this curse."

"Don't worry, this time She has us by her side. Now that curse chain of that wicked goddess has gone, she can use this space and her power again." Zhu Que said in gentle tone.

"But will she be able to remember us?" Xuan Wu asked "If she remember us then.."

"We will see later." Zhu Que said in firm tone despite the uneasiness that was gnawing inside. She really hoped that her master would be able to remember them but at the same time she also didn't want her to remember. Because she knew if her master remembered them all, then she would remember the life she had and the betrayal that caused her to be in mortal realm.

Zhu Que's only wish was for her master to be happy.

Yes.. that was her only wish..

"What about the man?" Xuan Wu asked as he gazed at the man who was holding his master's dead body. His expression was unreadable but in his pair of emerald colored eyes, anger could be seen.

"Well it would be better if that man stay away from our master. Since time will return to 10 years ago, that man will keep giving the cold treatment to our master right?" Bai Hu said, clearly happy with the idea that the man would stay away from his master.

"I agree. Personally I don't like that man." Qing Long added.

"Why?" Zhu Que asked, "Is it because he was the reason for her death?"

"....No." Qing Long answered, "It's for another reason."

Yet, even after a long silence Qing Long didn't state what was the reason. How could he? The reason he had was nothing but a hunch. Because the man called Long Zhi Qiang has the same aura as HIM. Qing Long wanted to confirm it first. If Zhi Qiang was indeed the man he thought he was, then it would be better to make his master stayed as far away from him as possible.

"Okay now it's time to greet my lady." Bai Hu said with a wide grin, showing off his fangs.

"Be polite, Bai Hu. Don't make her scared, you understand?" warned Zhu Que

"Of course I won't! who do you think I am?" Bai Hu

"An emotional beast." Qing Long commented

"WHAT?! ARE YOU TRYING TO PICK A FIGHT, YOU STINKY LIZARD?!" Bai Hu roared

"I am a DRAGON! How dare you call an honorable dragon, a lizard! You lame cat!"

"LAME YOU SAID?! I AM A MIGHTY TIGER!!"

"Lame cat is enough for you."

"WHY YOU--"

*Wush, Wush, Wush*

Three ball of golden flames flew fast towards both Bai Hu and Qing Long and hit Bai Hu twice and Qing long once.

"GAAAAH! HOT!!"

"GUUUH!"

Bai Hu and Qing Long screamed in pain. It took a while before the pain completely gone and what was waiting for both of them was the cold and murderous gaze of Zhu Que.

"Do you guys still want to continue bickering?" asked Zhu Que with a sweet smile that didn't even reach her phoenix eyes. The smile alone could send shivers down their spine.

"No, Maam." Both Bai Hu and Qing Long answered in synchronize.

"Then it's time to do what we have to do, right?" said Zhu Que while keeping the same sweet yet dangerously deadly smile.

"Yes, Maam." Both Bai Hu and Qing Long answered.

From the side, Xuan Wu chuckled softly while shook his head. Indeed, nothing scarier than a gentle woman in rage.
