Chapter 4. Revenge

"Where is she?"

"Master, she is here in the mansion. She is loading her things on her car."

It was the voice of Mrs. Lin, the housekeeper of the mansion he had never visited once for the whole year he was married. Even if his grandpa had threatened to hit him and to scold him every day, Dion never took a step into that house.

However, that didn't mean that he didn't try before. His heart always followed unconsciously the road towards that mansion when he was tired and distracted. It was the place she lived, the woman that had been in his mind for so many years. She was there, inside the house for the two of them. But she was not meant for him. He knew it... and he hated her for that.

He decided to stay in his luxurious apartment near the office, and he considered it his temporary house.

"Don't let her move away."

"But… Young Master, I can't do that."

The middle-aged woman was the only employee in the big mansion. She and Thea were the only ones living there. Therefore, they didn't use that many rooms, and so only a group of employees came to clean the mansion some days a week.

"Just don't let her leave, or I will fire you."

"Young Master, I am also resigning," the voice of the old woman carried a sigh. She knew the problems of both of their masters. But she was old enough to care now. She only wished for her young lady, Thea, to live her life happily.

The face of Dion went blank, now he didn't have anyone on his side to stop her before she left.

The damn woman never went to the Civil Office where his employees were waiting to ambush her, instead, she went to the mansion and started packing her things.

He pressed the pedal in his sports car to reach, as fast as possible, the mansion and trap her and bind her to him again.

The lump in his throat made him have trouble breathing. The anxiousness in his eyes mixed with fear, he knew that he was letting something important go away from him.

When he arrived at the Mansion, the door was wide open and nobody was inside.

"Thea!" he shouted, but only an echo returned. "Dammit!"

The place was the same as he remembered as if no one had lived there for the past year. The same pictures hanging on the walls, the same furniture without an inch of dust.

He went up the stairs and into the master bedroom. It was intact. No one had lived there for a year. Even his closet was untouched and the book he started reading a year ago was still there opened on the same page.

'That woman, didn't she sleep here?'

More pain came to his heart. He opened the other rooms, and he was stunned when he discovered that only the last room, the furthest one from the main bedroom was a bit different, the air smelled fragrant and fresh, just like her.

He caressed the covers for a few seconds and was in a daze, remembering her beautiful gaze.

Then his phone rang, waking him up from his distraction.

"Master, we got her."

"Take her to my apartment," he smirked and went running to his car. 'I got you, woman.'

"Let go of me!"

Thea was about to enter the Civil Office building when several black-suited men detained her just as she was about to cross the glass door. Then they made her enter a black car with tinted windows.

She tried to escape many times, hitting the doors and sending several punches to them, but they dared to handcuff her wrist on her back. However, not once did they hit her.

When she saw the place they were taking her, her anger reached new levels.

'What does he want now? He should be jumping in happiness now, even his woman was with him. Is he trying to mock me by showing his affair to my face?'

She knew that woman very well. The famous Rose Grey, the best actress, and model of the Country T. She was acclaimed as the National Beauty and the best match to the cold Empire CEO. However, Thea knew her other side very well, she was her childhood friend and cousin from many years ago. Thea treated her like the sister she never had, so her betrayal was something she could never see coming. Rose Grey and her family made her lose everything and the only way to save her mother and her from entirely fell into the abyss was to do Grandpa Hesse biddings, and marry Dion Hesse. Only that way she would survive and get her revenge.

She gritted her mouth and stopped fighting. It was no use, she will do whatever he wanted and then go. She had many plans now, and staying married to that man was for sure not one of them.

The men stopped the cars in the underground parking lot and one of them took her to the top floor of the complex. It was an extremely luxurious penthouse, with a few expensive and modern pieces of furniture and a wide terrace, and a swimming pool. The decor wasn't extravagant, but reflected the good taste of the owner. The view of the city was marvelous, she could only imagine how the man lived here.

They made her seat on the couch, and she didn't move an inch, but noticed how another man was carrying her bags and put them near the entrance.

'Just, what are they doing?'

"Hey you, where is my car?"

"Your car is in the parking lot, Madam."

"Madam?" She chuckled, no one of his employees dared to call her that, or they would receive a severe punishment. "Don't call me that if you value your job."

The man didn't talk and just stood up behind her, unmoving.

"Can you take the handcuffs? They are hurting me."

He stood there waiting.

"Hey! I want to go to the bathroom."

He didn't answer.

"Do you want me to do it here? Your Boss would certainly scold you."

The man frowned a little and was about to move when the door opened.
