Chapter 21

“Thanks a lot, Maggie. I enjoyed eating dinner with you.” I picked up my cat as I headed out of my new found friend’s apartment room.

Pickle and I stayed for almost an hour in her apartment for a fun introductory chit-chat. I found out that we’re nearly the same age, and she’s currently a working-student as she wasn’t able to finish her degree earlier because of heavy financial problem. I salute anyone who decides to push through their dreams, never letting their age or the time hindrance it. Because I know a few who fell out of interest as they felt like they’re out of time to pursue it anymore.

“I’ll try to cook this weekend to make it up to you. What are your favorite dishes, by the way?” I asked and Maggie laughed, shaking her head sheepishly.
