“Are you even listening? ” Darius questions, breaking the silence.
I inhale deeply and detach my eyes from the window to take a look at him.
After Matthew agreed on letting me go with Darius, I had no other choice than to do it. Darius came with the car and picked me up from the pack house.
From that moment, he has tried to talk to me several times but my mind is caught up in other things.
“ Of course, I am listening but I don’t think I can make sense of what I am listening. ” I let out a crooked laugh and push my hair behind my ear awkwardly. “ Can you tell me what you were saying again? ”
