MIRACLE POV
Cain turned out to be very serious about the ‘not gonna talk to you’ threat. He didn’t even come back in the night and stayed Moon Goddess knows where.
For a change, I didn’t leave to look for him. I felt too tired for it.
The strange conversation I had with Amanda bothered me throughout the night and didn’t let me sleep even for a moment. Curiosity is killing me slowly.
The morning came and I went down to the study room to find Cain finally, but I found Xavier instead. Cain had asked Xavier to tell me that we were leaving right away as it was 2 days drive to the dark forest from here.
To my surprise, Cain and I are leaving alone. No one else is coming with us and before I could ask Xavier about it, he told me on his own that it’s best to leave alone because it will help us remain unnoticed for a long time.
