Chapter III

Liza is inside her shabby looking room. It was a room located on the back of the kitchen, hence it was very hot. But at least it is a space she can call her own. Here she is able to remove her bun, and just let her long black straight hair hang freely. She can also dress the way she want’s, primp herself and make her feel beautiful.

Liza is a real beauty; she’s tall and has a nice body shape. Her skin is as white as the snow, although it usually looks dirty because of her work. But once she took a bath and all the impurity of her work are wash away her true beauty radiates. Hidden in her over size apron is an hourglass shape body that any man would wish to own.

But Liza is believed to be the daughter of the traitor. It was said that her dad a previous Beta killed someone important to the Alpha. All she knew is that after her father’s verdict came out, the Luna was evicted.

To think that Luna Diana is her mother’s best friend, she thinks that whoever died that time has something to do with the Luna.

Her father was sentence to death, while her mother died when she gave birth to her. Making Liza an orphan, and because she is the traitors daughter she became a slave. It was a lifetime sentence, unless of course a mate will buy her freedom.

Liza doesn’t have much, her dress are all hand me down, an oversize apron that belong to the old cook who gave the uniform to her to throw, but instead of throwing she washed it and use. Then her dirty white baggy shirt and pants was previously owned by the gardener who lend the pair to her so she will be able to work freely, as her set of dress are too girly.

But, inside her room are her parent’s belonging, the dress she wore when she’s alone is her mother’s. Those dresses are beautiful it has soft silky garments, not to mention it gave her the fake felling that she is with her parent’s. An imagination that will never in a million years will happen.

Every night she would cry and let out all the pain under her pillow, as she hid her face on the soft thing, she let go of every feeling that she have.

Then she also has books that were owned by her mom, books that she tries to read. But because of lack of education she can only read some. She also has a scrap book, which has so many writings and picture, this one she was able to understand because of the pictures. So she hid this very well so no one can get it, for she knew it has secrets that can potentially ruin the current Alpha.

Liza is just 17, She doesn’t have the power to do anything yet. Plus she will only turn 18 after three months. She does hope she will find her mate, though she thinks whoever he maybe, may also reject her, but she still has that hope he will accept her and change her life.

Today Shin thought of hanging out with Yo in the forest, that’s the only place where he can shift without interruption. Because he is not permitted to shift and train, once and awhile he would go to the forest with Yo to race.

Yo knew that Shin have a different color wolf, the Alpha and Ginji’s wolf are both gray thus it puzzled him. Though of course he knew it was possible because of the Luna, he might have gotten it from her. But to have a better wolf than the next Alpha is rare. In fact it never happens in the history of werewolves before.

That could be the reason why the Alpha prevented Shin from shifting. He could be afraid that rumours will start.

On the middle of the wood both of them shifted and race to the end of their territory. It’s the only training Shin can do, it’s fast and it makes his arms and legs strong.

Then after the tiring run, they decided to plunge on the private pool at the back side of the pack house. Other wolf don’t come to this pool, it was made solely for the Alpha’s family.

Shin and Yo both don’t have top, they wear a soft fabric short, and are both dripping in sweat. Their body are well shape that they look like god ramping under the heat of the sun.

Shin knew that this will attract eyes but he don’t really care. He already found his mate and his getting ready to fight for her. But… 50 meters away from the pool, Shin was able to smell it again, the sweet vanilla smells that intoxicates him. He knew he should stop, he knew he shouldn’t go near her because it will surely cause trouble. But his inner desire wished to see her, plus he needs to confirm something, so rather than turning back; he hurriedly walks to the pool side.

But the sight in front of him made him curse the heaven and hell. Jenica and Ginji are kissing passionately on the other side of the pool.

“Oppss.” That’s the only word that came out of Yo’s mouth; he knew for sure this is bad.

He tried to hold Shin to stop him from doing anything he will surely regret.

But Shin jumps already in to the water so he can swim across and get on their position faster.

Yo wasn’t able to stop him, he knew he can’t, the power of Shin’s wolves radiate already. And he knew for a fact that he is no match for it.

Shin jumps off the water and pounced Ginji who was out balanced by the shocked of what happen.

Yo heard shouts from everywhere, as the people of their clan witness the big black wolf of Shin. It was Hary, Shin’s wolf.

Yo can hear gasp from everywhere, they were tantalize and stunned by the scenario. If it wasn’t for his short, they’ll think it was an intruder.

Ginji tried to stand, but Hary has his claws on his neck making it almost impossible to move. Unless he wished to die, he won’t move a bit.

“Think… Think… Think…” muttered Yo.

“Use this.” It was Liza, she handed him a perfume, and it was a vanilla scent perfume. Liza motioned for him to spray it on him. Though he do not understand what is happening he did spray the perfume.

Hary stop immediately. He turn around and look at Yo, then before realization hits him completely a thundering shout roared over the place.

It was the voice of the Alpha. Yo trembled, Alphas voice can make every wolf feel fear.

Shin shifted back immediately, Jaime who was standing beside the Alpha was shocked by the realization, that the Alpha’s second son has a black wolf, a big black wolf with red eyes. He couldn’t be wrong, that is the Goddess of moon sign that he should be the next Alpha.

The clan member also knows this; it was something that they learn from school. They know that something is wrong, and that wolf, its size, color, especially the eye color, is the sign of kinship. It is a sign of a blessed Alpha that possess power from the moon.

But why does the second son possess the trait the first born should have?

The next thing they knew is that Shin was being drag by the Alpha into his office.

Nobody dares to stop him, and no one dares to talk about anything, not even Ginji.

He was so furious that he storm back to the pack house, Shin just jump into him, but he have bruises on his body already and he feel stiff.

Yo stay on the side of the pool, standing like a statue taking in what just happen.

Then he just realized everyone was talking about Shin trying to overpower Ginji, a rumour was started. A made up story that Shin plan this because his jealous of his brother and that he wanted to be the next Alpha.

Then Yo heard drastic news. Shin was being kick out of the pack house.

Just few days after he turns 18 this is happening.

Yo wanted to help, run after Shin, but what can he do?

Can he tell them that it was Ginji’s fault for touching his mate? But if he say anything about this, he might ruin their friendship.

“Don’t interrupt; it was Shin who said he fought for the position.” Liza told Yo.

What is happening? There he was thinking that maybe Shin will finally be able to live a normal wolf life with his mate, his brother ruin it the instant he had a chance.

And Shin, why did Shin make up this kind of excuse?

“Why are you telling this to me? And why are you helping Shin?” Yo asked in confusion as things start to make sense.

“Because I have to.” She answered before leaving.

She was everywhere where Shin smells the scent, and that scent he was talking about is the smell of that perfume Liza made him use. Who owns that perfume? And why does it smell like vanilla?

“Think… Think… Think…” Yo muttered again.

Jenica plus the smell of that perfume, Ginji being there, then Shin and Liza.

“Hold on.” He muttered again.

Is it possible that Jenica uses that perfume to mislead Ginji of thinking she is his new mate? And it just so happen that Shin is looking for his mate that he thought that smell came from Jenica is the sign that she is his mate.

“Wait. So that’s the reason why Shin immediately look at me when I sprayed that perfume, because it was the same scent of what he thought is his mate smell.”

Then who is Shin’s real mate?
