Chapter 80: Purgatory
Hunter-
When I came to, it took me a minute to get my bearings. I had to run a mental run-through of everything I knew, just so I could make sure I didn’t lose my memory again. Then I remembered what I had been doing prior to everything going black on me.
Rather, I remembered what was done to me. Now that I was thinking about it, I felt this burning sensation on my chest. As I focused on the burn, it increasingly became worse.
Tearing at the shirt that I was wearing, I was a bit stunned when it ripped easily. I knew I was strong, but not like this. It had been like ripping paper. Without much, if any, effort the fabric gave way.
Looking down at my chest, I saw a spiral branded on my chest. Touching it with my hand, I expected it to hurt, but it felt like it was already scarred over. With this kind of burn mark, I expected it to take months to heal and scar over.
“Oh good. You are awake.” I heard Artemis’s voice from the door

Kyra-Sitting in my small library with my mother, Samantha, and Trav, I heard a loud crash coming from the front of the house. My first instinct was that we were being attacked. Throwing the book down, I was reading, I quickly stood from my oversized bag.I was just about to leave the room, but it abruptly opened. Standing in the door, was a very pissed-off, Caleb. Crap. Unlike before, Rex didn’t give me any warning they were back.
