I wasn’t completely shocked by Hunter being alive, but I was surprised when he showed up. I still remember when Zeke had told me what he had done. I didn’t think it had been possible for Hunter to return like this, yet I couldn’t deny that I was glad he was back.

I fully admit that this had put a kink in things, especially where Kyra was concerned. Things were complicated right now, but I would do anything to make her happy. Currently that was keeping this weird-ass creature away from Hunter.

As I watched Kyra help Hunter, I felt mixed emotions. The one thing that stood out above all else, was that I was happy to see them like this. With him not remembering this it was different, but the look on Kyra’s face made me feel as if she was now whole.

It was like until Hunter arrived, she had been broken inside. I couldn’t wait for this mess to be over with so we could discuss what to do next. First, we needed to do something with these disgusting creatures.
