Chapter 84

Kyra-

Sitting in my small library with my mother, Samantha, and Trav, I heard a loud crash coming from the front of the house. My first instinct was that we were being attacked. Throwing the book down, I was reading, I quickly stood from my oversized bag.

I was just about to leave the room, but it abruptly opened. Standing in the door, was a very pissed-off, Caleb. Crap. Unlike before, Rex didn’t give me any warning they were back. Caleb’s red eyes were blazing with a burning fire in them.

Okay, perhaps not literally, but the way he looked at me, then to Trav, I thought he was going to burn a hole through us. There was no talking myself out of this now, I had to own up to what I have been doing.

On the plus side, thanks to my mother’s help, we found a way to return Trav’s wolf to him. Now I just had to keep Caleb from killing him before we had a chance to do so. Stepping between Caleb and Trav, I faced Caleb, standing my ground.
