Chapter 28: Darren
Staring at the ceiling, I toss and turn eventually getting out of bed. I look at the alarm and it reads 7 a.m. Not wanting to wake Lauryn on a Saturday, I do my gym time and afterwards jump in the shower. The cascading water feels wonderful on my tired muscles.
I have one of those deluxe showers that have several spouts, one on each wall. Usually putting the shower to the first setting, I stand in the middle as they pulse powerfully and assault my body from all sides. The heat beats on me while I run my hands down over my body. Today, I think I will use my all time favorite Woodsy and Citrus body wash.
Reaching for it, I feel the stretching of the incision in my side. Still not completely healed, I favor it and hope that it doesn't leave too big of a scar. Yes, I know. It's manly to have scars, but perfection is a big part of my persona.

After telling Lauryn that I love her, she acts shocked. How could she be? I know she feels the same way, because I can sense it. When we touch, it's like our souls intertwine. Grabbing an overnight bag, I almost forget to call Samantha. She wanted me to call her after I got home with the details. I hope she is prepared for what I have to tell her though. Waking up to Lauryn's soft warm body, is the greatest high and I don't know if I ever want to leave the bed. A giant smile spreads across my face and I remember when I was buried deep inside her last night. How wonderful it felt to be inside her and perfect the way I fit in her. Opening the door to the penthouse, I feel strangely like I belong here. It's hard to explain, because I have never really felt like I truly belonged anywhere before. After cleaning up, the first thing on my mind is food. Lauryn follows me into the kitchen and chops up the vegetables, while I cut up the beef and slice it into shavings. Deciding to make Mongolian Beef for dinner, I boil rice and fry up the meat in a wok.
