"Kurt, stop shouting. I hear something." Kasa stood up from the ground with some difficulty. "Should we check it out or should we just avoid the trouble?" Kasa asked in a whisper. 

"Check what out, Kasa? I can't hear shit," her brother said. Kasa stared at him in disbelief. 

"Can you not hear some footsteps coming in this direction or is your sense of smell your only proficiency?" she asked. "Well, no problem. I'll just go check it out myself, just in case it's Tori." 

Kasa followed the sound of the footsteps crushing dead leaves as they went. When she felt she was close enough, she hid herself behind the large trunk of a tree. She sensed that it must be more than one person as the footsteps were not in as coherent enough to belong to one person alone. As cautiously as she could, she peeped out from behind the tree trunk. There were three people: a red eyed man whose eyes she could even see from that distance; a girl and a young man
