Lightning struck through the sky. Thunder followed immediately after. Before the rain could soak them, Fenris led the girls to a nearby hotel. "Get us one room," he told the lady at the desk. She tapped the buttons on the keyboard but not before throwing him a look of disgust.

"That will be a hundred and fifty dollars per night," she said when she was done.

"Alright. We'll check out tomorrow afternoon, at noon," he told her.

"Okay sir but you need to pay before I hand over the keys to the room," she informed him.

Fenris sighed deeply. "Can I get through to a manager?" he asked immediately. The receptionist threw him a confused glance but took the telephone to call the manager of the hotel nonetheless. She asked him to come down to the reception.
