Writing my destiny

After searching every corner of the house I was finally standing in front of the forbidden mahogany door waiting for Damien to open it.

Tapping my feet impatiently on the floor, I slammed my palm on the door one more time. 

There was no reply. 

Maybe he was not inside....or maybe he knew I was knocking.

Slowly I opened the door while arguing with the small voice inside my head. I knew no one was allowed in his library or bedroom. But if I wanted to confront him, I would rather do that in the library.

The minute I stepped inside I was sure my mouth was somewhere on the floor. The dark rows of bookshelves soared from the floor to the ceiling. The large window next to the huge desk was spreading natural light from the sun to the front part of the room. There was dim light illuminating the bookshelves. My hand was itching to get a hold of those books.
